What does membership mean?
Being a member of Taekwon-do International means growth and support for you and your students. Are you looking for resources for insurance? Advice on opening a school? An arsenal of training drills and exercises to keep your classes exciting? Our network of schools is lead by some of the most experienced teachers in the world. Gain from their wisdom by attending seminars and competitions or by simply picking up the phone to ask a question.
When you become a member of Taekwon-do International, you will be introduced to a Master Instructor who will be your contact point for any and all questions. Whether you are looking to open several schools or run a small club, Taekwon-do International has been there and done that. You can do it, and we can help.
Dan certification from Taekwon-do International equals international recognition of your skills and training. Our senior masters have been involved in Taekwon-do since its early inception and have trained with many of the current leaders in the Kukkiwon and other internationally recognized organizations.
What do I have to do?
To become a member of Taekwon-do International, please simply complete our contact form and a master instructor will contact you to discuss how we can help you achieve your goals. Your only obligation to us is to continue your training and teaching to the best of your ability. Attendance at competitions is not mandatory. As the head instructor of your school, your attendance at a minimum of one annual seminar is required.
To certify your black belts in Taekwon-do International, certain guidelines must be met and certain skill levels and time-in-rank must be obtained.
How much does it cost?
Enrollment in Taekwon-do International does not require any upfront initiation fee. Our executive committee believes the purpose of a union is not financial gain but to support the growth of Taekwon-do itself through strengthening member school owners and their students. The annual membership fee in 2008 was $250 and includes 25 Taekwon-do International patches ( a $250 value ). Please contact us for the current annual membership fee.

In a word, "support". Taekwon-do International school owners receive the support of senior practitioners and school owners. Be it technical questions on Taekwon-do movements and patterns or questions on how to host and run a tournament, our senior leaders have the experience, wisdom, and resources to help you be the best. When you become a member of Taekwon-do International, you will be introduced to a master instructor who will be your contact point for any and all questions.
Throughout the year, you will be invited to attend training camps, seminars for business operations, as well as competitions to showcase your students' talents. In addition to direct instruction, our website contains an arsenal of resources for helping you attract, retain, train, and motivate your students. There is no need to reinvent the wheel, our schools have been experimenting with different marketing messages, advertising programs, and print media since the 1960s.
Group discounts on health insurance, liability insurance, and equipment purchases are also offered to Taekwon-do International school owners.
