Taekwon-do International Mission Statement
Taekwon-do International (TKDI) is an association of professional Taekwon-do schools that are united under the leadership of Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, 9th Dan, first generation student of General Choi, Hong Hi and pioneer of Original and Traditional Taekwon-do.
TKDI member schools are dedicated to furthering the growth of original and traditional Taekwon-do through high standards of technical ability, comprehensive curricula and professional and ethical conduct for the mutual benefit of all members. Manifesting the original tenets of traditional Taekwon-do – Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit, in all areas of business and practice, sets TKDI member schools apart.
TKDI Master Instructors are not only accomplished professional instructors, but are also distinguished by their rigorous educational and professional backgrounds in a variety of disciplines including law, medicine, finance, architecture, engineering, the performing arts and others. Their martial arts practice serves as a framework for successful habits. Consequently, TKDI member schools are distinguished by uncommonly high standards of professionalism in their business practices, technical ability and personal conduct among their students.
TKDI seeks to expand membership to professional, educated and rigorous like-minded school owners and practitioners to join the thousands of martial artists already benefiting through membership in TKDI.
