On Friday, January 20 Aliso Hills Taekwon-do (Aliso Viejo, CA) hosted the annual TKDI regional seminar for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belts.  Master John Meany, 7th Dan, from Glen Ridge Taekwon-do in Montclair, NJ taught this very exciting and informative seminar.  Basic motion, fundamental movement and applied movements were broken down and interspersed with patterns and drills, and made this seminar not only full of information but fast-paced and fun.  More than a couple attendees said it was one of the best seminars they've attended.

On Saturday, January 21 the school hosted their first black belt testing of 2017.  Six students were promoted to the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt: Hannah Cornell, Saya Seraj, Janelle Chenault, Matthew Law, Mason Fromm and Alexander Carney.  One student, Zoe Johansson received her 2nd Degree Black Belt.  Three students tested for 3rd Degree Black belt, they are: Baxter Bartlett, Ethan Strunk and Mitchell Law.

Master Meany, Master Jessica Sabetian, Hapkido Master Ed Bussey and Master Paul D'Ambrosio all sat on the testing board.
